We are delighted to have you both join our team.
Reminder
Parents dropping off and collecting children from the Hub:
As the reception area of the hub is a communal area can we ask that parents get to reception for 8.55am, no earlier. Please stand back in reception and allow staff to open the door. Children will be received one at a time and must be handed over by parent. If you need to give a message, please call the office. Alternatively, you can wait until all children are safely in school and a member of class staff is available.
Thank you for your help and support.
For you Attention
We have been made aware of a game called Contraband Police through a website called STEAM, which some primary aged children are accessing. The game exposes young children to drugs, smuggling and weapons etc. This is concerning content; please be mindful of what games your children are accessing when on devices.
Wellbeing at Broadmeadow
We hope you have all had a settled ‘break’ and are glad to be back into a routine!
January can feel like quite a long month for us all, and it can take a bit of effort for us to think about ourselves and our mental health.
Wolverhampton and Community Action have introduced a project called ‘Social Prescribing’. This is a non-medical approach to improve your health and wellbeing. It can help you to have more control over your health and find ways to improve how you feel in a way that suits you.
It can help if you:
- Feel isolated and want support to meet other people.
- Feel low or a bit anxious and might feel better joining a social group.
- Have a long-term chronic health condition which would be helped through community activities.
- Need help to find support or advice with practical issues such as money or independent living?
For more information, please visit
www.wvca.org.uk/social-prescribing
If this is something that interests you, please get in touch with Clare Temple in school, and she can refer you to the service.
