School Meals
All children in Reception, Year one and Year two are entitled to Free School Meals. Unfortunately, this does not apply to nursery aged pupils. Parents may still apply for Free School Meals – information is available from our school office. The price of a school meal is £2.40
You may wish to provide a packed lunch for your child – if so the lunchbox must be clearly named with no glass containers please.
Due to identified children’s allergies, Broadmeadow is a nut and seed free school. You MUST NOT send nuts or seeds into school, this includes sesame seed buns, and cereal bars containing nuts etc.
The mid-day meal is regarded as teaching time – we encourage the children to develop their communication, personal and social skills. A team of mid-day assistants organise and supervise outdoor or indoor play sessions for the period of time after children have eaten their meal.
